Boom Arm

  • Cabinet Size:  Length 1m, Width 35cm, Weight 45kg
  • Cabinet Design: 2mm zinc primed and UV stable, powder coated and waterproof.  The standard cabinet powder coated colour is white with a blue top.
  • Access Control Options:  Boom gates can be operated in several ways include: Proximity Cards, Keypad Access, Remote Control, Mobile Phones (via a Smart App) and Intercom.  All boom gates can be programmed to automatically open and close at specified times.
  • Manual Control:  If there is a loss of power to the boom gate, the boom arm can be lifted easily by hand and locked in the open or closed position.
  • Installation:  Boom gate system is elevated off the ground and non-shrink grout is applied under the base for water proofing and vermin control.

Safety Devices

  • Lever arm system locks the boom at both end positions.
  • Automatic boom raise in the event of power failure or fire alarm.
  • Photoelectric Beams:  Curtain array photoelectric beams will prevent the boom arm lowering on vehicles or pedestrians if they are below the boom arm during the close cycle. This is an important safety feature where pedestrian safety is paramount.
  • Audible Buzzer:  An audible alert signifying that the boom arm is in operation.
  • Amber LED Flashing Light:  A visual alert showing that the boom arm is in operation.

Optional Extras

  • Battery Back Up (24 volt/DC system only):  An in-built battery back-up system will ensure your boom gate continues to work for 4-5 days without mains power. This ensures your car park security always remains operational.
  • LED Safety Lights:  Visual red/green LED light bars can be added as a visual aid to assist with traffic flow. The red light stays on when the boom arm is down, and the green light is activated when the boom gate is opened.
  • Free To Exit Loop:  When a vehicle is detected to be exiting the car park, the boom arm will immediately open and will automatically close once the vehicle is no longer detected.
  • Magnetic Boom Arm Lock:  100kg magnetic holding force to reduce the risk of unauthorised entry or exit by lifting or bending the boom arm.
